Kapamilya Snapshots: Gerald Anderson's Shirtless Holiday in Baler, Aurora

While Kim Chiu was enjoying the cold, snowy weather of Korea, Gerald Anderson had fun during the last holidays with his awesome male friends in Baler, Aurora.

He was with fellow PBB ex-housemate Fred Payawan and some other friends who are now

getting famous such as Ali Claus, Mike Young and Jalal Cali Laidan.

Gerald and friends were there for two days and had a shirtless adventure together. They soaked in the sun, hit the beach, had surfing, toured the place and made some real hot pumping actions.

Erich Gonzales Admires Mario Maurer

For Kapamilya actress Erich Gonzales, the most admirable qualities of her newest onscreen partner, Thai heartthrob Mario Maurer, are his "leading man" ways even off camera.

"Bilang isang heartthrob, usually 'di ba nagde-deny ka kung meron kang girlfriend? Hangga't pwede itatago mo? Pero with Mario, hindi siya ganun," Gonzales told ABS-CBN News at the sidelines of a Friday press conference for her upcoming film with Maurer, Star Cinema's "Suddenly It's Magic."

"That's one thing na talagang hinahangaan ko sa kanya, kasi nakita ko 'yung care, 'yung love nila sa isa't-isa ng girlfriend niya. So nakaka-ano rin -- 'wow,'" she added.

Gonzales is referring to the real-life romance of Maurer with his long-time girlfriend, Thai actress Gubgib Sumontip.

Having filmed parts of "Magic" in Bangkok, Thailand, Gonzales and Sumontip have even become friends, according to the Kapamilya actress in an earlier interview.

"She was super nice. Sobrang nice talaga. Nagdala siya ng Japanese food for all of us [at the film's set]," Gonzales said.

The "Maria la del Barrio" star also only has good words for Maurer, who she sees as "very funny, very naughty, very down-to-earth and very professional."

"Napaka-sincere ni Mario. Walang yabang sa katawan. Komportable akong magkwento sa kanya, kasi alam ko walang masamang tinapay sa taong 'to," Gonzales said.

In "Suddenly It’s Magic," Maurer portrays a Thai superstar named Marcus who flies to the Philippines to escape his busy career.

Here, Marcus crosses paths with Joey (Gonzales), a romantically jaded Filipina baker who is bound to spark "magic" in the boring life of the Thai celebrity.

According to Gonzales, the Star Cinema film will have a premiere screening on October 30 in Manila, where Maurer will be in attendance. Directed by Rory B. Quintos, "Suddenly It's Magic" will hit theaters nationwide on October 31.

Luis Manzano Talks About His Bed Scene With Vice Ganda in Movie

Luis Manzano admitted he enjoyed playing the role of Vice Ganda’s ex-boyfriend and Toni Gonzaga’s new fiancé in This Guy’s In Love With You, Mare. The 32-year-old actor-host said he could relate to his character Mike. “Siguro yung pagkaka-relate ko sa character ko, ako kasi personally ang dami ko ring pagkakamali bilang lalake. So ganun din role ko, may mgatrust siyang nasira na kahit paano nakaka-relate ako,” he admitted.

Luis, who has always been open-minded about showing skin in his past movies, said one of his most unforgettable moments while doing the movie was shooting his bed scene with Vice Ganda. “Kumbaga, kung i-e-establish natin yung career path ko sa paghuhubad, ay yun na nga, inabot na ng bed scene sa amin ni Vice. Sabihin na natin na sa konting tinagal ko sa industriya, nung pauwi na ako, umiyak ako dun sa nangyari (laughs),” he joked.

Luis said he enjoyed working with close friends Toni and Vice, as well This Guy’s In Love With You, Mare director Wenn Deramas. “Si Toni kasi nakasama ko na rin sa dalawang serye, Crazy for You at sa Your Song. Pero ngayon pa lang kami nagkasama sa movie. Si Direk Wenn, siya ang unang unang nagpa-arte sa akin kung saan akala ko mag-ho-host lang ako buong buhay ko tapos si direk ang nag-convince sa akin. Sa Kampanerang Kuba pa yun. Pero ang nagingultimate love team ng buhay ko na tinalo pa si Anne (Curtis) ay si Vice. Sabi nga namin ni Vice, pang-limang pelikula na namin ito na magkasama. So siguro inisip ko makaka-sampu pa kami. John Lloyd-Bea level (laughs). We’re halfway there. Siguro ang sa aming tatlo din na nagugustuhan ni direk Wenn is kahit ano willing kami gawin basta mapasaya ang audience. Soyun ang common denominator namin kaya siguro we all get along,” he explained.

The talented host-actor said that he and the rest of the cast really hoped the movie would be received well at the box-office. “Pareho kami ni Vice, pag ako may oras, nag-a-adoration chapel ako. Kung mas malaking oras, nag-ma-Manaoag din ako,” he revealed.

Luis said that he takes each role he is given very seriously and his role of Mike was no different. “Minsan sa standby area pa lang may luha na ako, seryoso! Nangyari na sa akin yun. Siguronever ako nagka-problema talaga sa iyak or sa role, yung atake talaga ganun,” he recalled.

When it comes to his personal life, Luis said his relationship with girlfriend Jennylyn Mercado is as steady as ever. The actor denied rumors that they broke up recently. “For once and for all, hindi po. Hindi ko alam saan nanggaling yung issue na yun. Walang labuan factor. Nung lumabas yung alam na nating issue, never kaming nagkalabuan. Not even for a single day. So kahit ako nagulat na on the rocks daw kaming dalawa,” he said.

Anne Curtis Rushed to Hospital After Jellyfish Sting (Photo)

"Dyesebel" star Anne Curtis was rushed to hospitals in San Juan and Lipa in Batangas before she was taken to the St. Luke's Medical Center at the Bonifacio Global City on Thursday, April 3, 2014 after she was stung by a jellyfish while taping her top-rating fantasy series.

According to ABS-CBNnews, the incident happened last Wednesday night in Batangas during their taping, Anne Curtis was stung by a jellyfish. The 29-year-old actress-host is currently confined at St. Luke's Medical Center in Taguig City.

But despite her condition, Curtis seemed upbeat when she greeted her supporters via her personal Twitter account earlier Thursday.

“Morning everyone. Just read all your 'Get well soon' messages. Last night was my first time to be stung by a jellyfish, a box jellyfish. Currently in St. Luke's so they can monitor my jellyfish sting/rash & most importantly the rhythm of my heart,” she said.
